Sunspots, also known as age spots, liver spots, or solar lentigines, are flat, dark areas on the skin caused by prolonged sun exposure and aging. These pigmented spots can appear on any part of the body that has been exposed to the sun, often affecting areas like the face, hands, shoulders, and arms.
Laser treatment is an effective method for removing sunspots and other types of hyperpigmentation. At Supernatural Esthetics, we use the Elite+ 755 Alexandrite laser to target and treat these spots. This quick, non-invasive procedure works by directing laser energy at the pigmented cells, breaking them down. The laser's light penetrates the skin, destroying the cells responsible for the discoloration.
The body's natural healing process then clears away the damaged cells and replaces them with fresh, healthy tissue. The result is a more even skin tone with reduced appearance of sunspots.
Typically, 2 to 3 treatments are needed to achieve optimal results, depending on the size and depth of the spots. Each session is carefully tailored to your skin's needs, ensuring effective and safe removal of unwanted pigmentation.
We can treat these following areas; The face, chest, hands, shoulders, feet and legs.

Laser treatments can significantly reduce or eliminate sun spots, providing a more even skin tone. However, while lasers can effectively target and remove existing spots, they don’t prevent new spots from forming. Continued sun exposure can lead to the development of new age spots, so ongoing sun protection is crucial for maintaining results.
Once treated, the specific sunspots removed by the laser generally do not return. However, new sunspots may develop over time if you continue to be exposed to the sun without proper protection. To avoid this, it’s important to use sunscreen and follow a skincare routine that prevents further pigmentation.
To prevent sunspots, it’s essential to protect your skin from UV radiation. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 daily, even on cloudy days. Wear protective clothing, such as hats and sunglasses, and seek shade during peak sun hours. Regularly applying antioxidant-rich skincare products can also help shield your skin from sun damage.
The number of treatments required depends on the size, depth, and number of sunspots. Typically, 2 to 3 sessions are needed to achieve optimal results. During your consultation, we’ll assess your specific needs and develop a personalized treatment plan to effectively address your sunspots.
